Cleaning large plastic fermenters

Postby Rumblepants » Tue Jan 11, 2022 7:04 am

Hi Guys,

I just acquired two 180L food grade fermenters that used to have olives in them.

Whats the best way to clean/sanitise them?

Cheers

I just hosed mine out, then added warm water, screwed the lid on and rolled them around the garden for a bit.

Came up clean as, minimal odour and ferment had no issues.

Napisan does a great job of cleaning .
And yes, roll em around the back yard and for heavy stains I leave over night
