How do you clean your boiler after use?

Postby Moonshyner » Thu Jul 14, 2022 8:05 pm

What is the best way to clean the boiler after doing a stripping or spirit run?

I just give it a good rinse and wipe and rinse again, ready for the next batch.

Do I need to do anything more?

Cheers,

Rinse out at the end of the run and again before filling for next run

As I use lpg to heat my boiler the drain is on the side which does leave a few litres left so I just put a hose in the boiler and let gravity do it's thing to fill as it's draining until the water is nice and clear. Then when it's finally drained to the point of stopping the flow there is only water left in the boiler then before refilling I just use my my Vax to suck out the water after giving the boiler inside a good clean with the water in the bottom.
