I used them for a bit but they are a bit of a pain compared to oyster shells
Thanks for the reply.
Can't seem to find any oyster shells except for shell grit for birds.
We eat heaps of eggs, so I thought....
Cheers,
nothing wrong with shell grit for birds.
i bought a 5kg bag from City Farmers for $20.99 about 18 months ago.
i still have about 2.5kg left.
it looks clean, but i boiled it to be sure, then stored it for use later.
i use a cupful in rum washes, sometimes 1/4 is dissolved, sometimes nothing.
whatever is left is rinsed, dried and put back in the stock.
