Grain quantity for 10lt sugar wash

Postby billjov » Sat Jul 07, 2012 7:28 am

Hi All,
This is my first time post and Im new to spirit making. Im still finding my feet and trying to understand many of the terms used. I have successfully done my first sugar wash run on a crude post still made from a stockpot.

Just a quick question. I would like to try adding some grain what I am not sure what quantities I need to add for a 10litre wash. Im thinking of adding chocolate malted rye, barley or even wheat. What should the ratio of these grain. Do I add say 0.5kg of each etc

Appreciate your help

I think if you followed this thread and cut the quantities back by a third you'd be pretty close :handgestures-thumbupleft:
