1st run :D

okay so decided to go through a test run to see how much adjusting of water was needed and to also give a try at cuts.

so i dumped into the t500
750ml bottle of home brew rum that i found under the phone table. (been sitting there maybe a year)
500ml bottle of inky lemon vodka home brew. berghth.
750ml bottle of various bourbon left overs i was collecting to prove a point on how much Ben (sick of referring to him as other half or whatever) drinks
and a 2 lt bottle of some 18% fortified wine crap i bought cause the bottle looked cool

and then added about 5lts of water just to balance it up a bit.

had the still running for about and hour and a half and got 800ml of decent smelling stuff out of it @ 93%. so not bad me thinks

we were using 500ml jars to make the cuts and filling them to just under half before switching to new ones. I seriously need more jars :problem: the first jar seriously smelled like paint thinner and the second jar was a bit better but still had that paint thinner smell. the next 4 or 5 jars kinda smelled a bit like sugar cane is how Ben described it. we let the still run till it was only dripping at a drip or so ever few seconds. couldn't really discern a different smell from the last one though.

no I couldn't  was speaking to the stig earlier and i was all " if i go tell the brew to hurry up do you think it will make it go faster?" :laughing-rolling: :laughing-rolling:

but it was a good learning experience for me. if we dont end up running the turbo wash on Saturday i feel confident enough to do the run by myself on my day off on Tuesday.
