Spirit run

Ok, dumb ass question time :laughing-rolling: , I read alot that you run a pot still slow for a spirit run, drop or so every second? why cant it be run fast?. Thanks.

They not slow, just slower than stripping. Could do a drop a second, maybe thats true for a HBS style reflux in pot mode, but not for a keg based 2" pot still.
Running fast (high power input) with a pot will smear the cuts. You just get out of heads and the tails start coming on a serious strip run.

A stream about the size of a tooth pick is good for a 2" pot still, fuck drips :angry-banghead:

Same as the said , I'm no expert on pot stilling but what I'do is strip as fast as I can and do my spirit run at a moderate rate (still pretty quick)
