Most of the ones I have I use corks. I think you can buy the right size ones from Brewcraft. It's been a while since I bought any though.

Cork, sanded wood plugs.

I've actually got a silicon bath plug that bourbon girl bought home one day that fit's in the top of a keg perfectly. Wish i knew where she got it from, i'd buy a dozen.

balsa from the green shed might be an option ? bit spongy allows it to push in

I use american oak for the plugs on my kegs, just cause i have a lot. Use a hole saw with the pilot set shallow and then removed half way through the hole. Final shaping on the belt sander/linisher to cork shape. A bit of alu angle screwed on for a handle.

I can get them for $13 at the local HBS....I think she usually charges most people $15 though.
Found these on the plasdene website http://www.plasdene.com.au/category/product/cat1/Beverage/cat2/Spirit/cat3/Glass/total/77/page/5/code/IM-500-1165-FL they would be excellent for anyone wishing to give home made goodies as Xmas gifts

Gallon jars there. Not demijohn shaped, but still good capacity.

If you email about pricing then ask what the cost is of the 60l fermenters too..

I'd be interested if they were cheap. They only have a minimum on stuff they have to import/custom run. Regular jars etc are fine, i've ordered 1l and 2l jars for my mushroom spawn. Be prepared to get a box full of glass with no packing in it though
