That is the easiest solution for me, seeing I'm only renting ATM.

I'll take that advice and run with it

Thank you.

actually if you get a 15 amp lead and put a 10 amp plug on it its safe but still illegal. id go with that caravan thingy or get a box put a 16amp breaker and a 15amp pp in it with a 10 amp lead wire it up take a pic of how its wired ill have a look at it for ya and bingo same thing only half the price

something like this without the temp controller and obviously in 15amp this would cost $5 for a lead, $10 for a box, $5 for a cb, $25 for the 15amp outlet so about $45 would cover it

ps if anyone want me to make one of these for the i can do them for about $125 plus postage or a cooling only $100+ it could be cheaper just have to buy all the gear havnt made one for a while

your preaching to the priest here licensed sparky here and it is actually safe considering the breaker on a 10 amp circuit is 20amp and the 2.5mm cable that supplies the circuit is rated at 27amps if you aint using much on a circuit its not that bad

Hang on a tick, lets discuss rather than get all agro about it ;-)

My shed has a small circuit board in it with a couple of circuit breakers, I'll get a pic of it so you guys can let me know what I can do with it.

The cutter is capable of cutting up to 15mm but at most I'll be only cutting 2mm, the shed is 65m from the house and I think it only has the one circuit.

There's about 8 power points in the shed.

I need to do something & do want it to be safe, but I couldn't give a rats arse bout legalities when the shed is full of stilling gear :laughing-rolling:

Quote BD: "or do as I did, just make up a short extension lead, about 12" long with a 15amp female end and a 10amp male end."

Ive done it that way on and off for years.....not a lot but have done it. Never had a problem or tripped a circuit breaker. Just dont have a shit load of other stuff running at the same time. As for shorts n thongs around the shed........the worst Ive ever done was got sunburnt knackers while welding......ohhhh i forgot....there was the freshly sharpened adze head dropped on the big toe incident......but thats another story :laughing-rolling:

Hmmm welding in shorts commando style,or in an unbuttoned shirt etc, brings back memories from about a month ago :teasing-tease: look, all bullshit aside,it's not like you're tryin to run a 3phase welder or anything,if it works....do it....if it don't...look for another way, simple
No good getting all stuffy about it,I do it and it works for me. :handgestures-thumbupleft: I totally agree with 8-ball,sparky mate has just left here and he reckons you are right on da money bud :handgestures-thumbupleft: Keep up the good info
