3” Product Condenser

Postby Crusty » Wed Dec 31, 2025 9:53 pm

Happy New Year everyone.
I’m looking to upgrade my 2” product condenser to a 3” product condenser.
I’ve got 6,000w of power available on the 100lt boiler but this over powers the condenser on stripping runs.
The ideal speed to run the 2” on a neutral run is 2-2.5lthr collection rate which is perfect. What collection rate would I be looking at on a neutral spirit run with the 3”. I’m considering using the larger condenser for the strip & neutral spirit runs.
I’ve heard it’s ok to run it even quicker on coloured spirits.
Any of you guys running a larger condenser?

How much will your rc hold back? When doing neutral it plays a big part in how much you can stack into column allows slightly faster takeoff..How much you want for your 2" condenser 8-}

Thanks buddy.
Not selling anything but just want to speed up the stripping runs.
My still is 4", 5 plate & am considering running the 3" product condenser for strips & spirit runs.
When tails arrive, I crank the still up but having the larger PC will allow me to utilise the 6,000w available to run it down to around 20%.
The most painful part of the spirit run for me is after tails arrive. I need to get it done.
I also have a 4" Whiskey helmet for the brown gear & the larger PC will come in handy for that too.

Nice Stig.
I’ve got the 100lt milk can boiler with the 4” copper whiskey helmet, 4” down to 2”.
I’ll place an order as soon as I can for all the 3” components.
Cheers
