Separate Parrot vs Fixed Parrot

Postby Amature_Hour_247 » Wed Sep 23, 2026 9:47 am

Hey all,

I'm looking to add to the current setup. Bubble plates are still a bit out of reach but I had my eye on a parrot.

Do people usually just stick with the separate one so you can angle the product condenser anywhere you like, or do you prefer the fixed setup?

Can't decide between the bling one: https://5stardistilling.com/product/distillers-parrot/
Or the regular one: https://5stardistilling.com/product/fre ... ess-steel/

Do you find the fixed one limiting as far as height / setup? I know it's only $100 extra, but I need to over analyse everything ~x(

i think it's better with a dump tap.
i use my parrot on stripping and spirit runs in slightly different ways, the dump tap makes this possible.
