anyone made an eParrot?

been thinking of making one but wanted some feedback if they are any good and if its worth it... pros and cons etc.

hoping to be able to automate the recordings of it down the track too...

The rgb parrot was designed to be most accurate above 90abv i had a pot at the time so pretty useless to me. The one I have now I have tested on plates boka and pot and works great on all of them..

I googled one last week and got mixed up in the dedicated forum, quickly found I was in over my head and back tracked real quick. Manufacturer's website is down.....great money saved goes straight into the bubbler fund! Thanks bluc

I don’t get the need really , what’s easier than watching an alcometer bob up and down in a “normal” parrot ?
Keep it simple and there’s nothing to go wrong

Depends how often you drop the alcometer and smash it 8-}

Ok, so I work in automation and work with 2 robotics engineers and we have a carbon fiber 3D printer.

Looks like I’m building an eparrot, we are replacing all of our Arduino controllers with PLC so hopefully they are the same arduinos.

More interested in the automated recording side of it.
Also looking into a tilt.
See if I have any time available after adding legs and a drain...
If I'm not making it I'm using it. If I'm not using it I'm fixing it or tinkering with it x_x

Pretty interested in the electronic parrots. It seems there's really only two options on the market. The $300 for the off-the-shelf option does seem a little steep for what can apparently be bought in parts for $50.

Is there a major accuracy discrepancy between the two? and more importantly why is there a discrepancy?

from what I have been reading its more accurate than the $50 DIY one.

bit busy with other projects that need to be done before this so haven't got much further.
