Recommendations for Water Pumps?

I brought a submersible pump like the ones on this thread, do any of you put a tap on the outlet to slow flow a bit cause they've got alot of pressure, much more than is needed. Im guessing there not a true pressure pump so they would not cut off and on when turning a tap on and off?.

I think most put a tee on the output and one runs to the still and the other back to the body of water

I have a valve of on my relief line if I need to up the pressure on the line to the still for what ever reason

if u put a 1:4 outlet manifold then have an inline tap u will never get back pressure as there is always free flow available. And with an inline tap u don't put ur hand in the water to play with flow

this is the pump on the left and the 1:4 attachment

that hose comes up behind the bench and in from the top to this ball valve.

I have usually two valves on the 4 way open all the time but if it's a fast strip I can close one, flow is mainly adjusted via the ball valve as there is more control and it's dry!

The bottom tap goes straight from the ball valve about 12" to the Liebig

Thanks mate, pictures tell a thousand words lol. Good setup you've got :handgestures-thumbupleft: . I've put a tee in and a small ball valve and seems to be working good. Ive got the valve dry like you too. Thanks for taking the time to post some pics mate.

Just reviving this thread.
I'm looking at getting a pump. Would one like this work?

a bilge pump- going at about 2800L/Hr. How do the bilge pumps cope with the pressure of going through the hose and pipe.
Also Im running a pot still and I have a spa that sits at about 34degrees. Would this water be cool enough to cool?
