Brads Coffee Love (kahlua style)

Postby bradsgonetrekkin » Thu Apr 14, 2011 11:09 pm

Ingredients:
# Approx 1 kg sugar
# Approx 500ml boiling water
# 2 teaspoons brown sugar
# 1 teaspoon citric acid
# 4 x double expresso coffee shots from coffee machine (or equiv from plunger coffee)
# 1 vanilla bean, broken into pieces
# Approx 1.2 litres 40% neutral moonshine (vodka etc)

Directions:
Add sugar and water to large saucepan and stir over low heat until dissolved
Add citric acid stir and take off heat
Add coffee, vanilla beans and neutral.
Stir and bottle, makes around 3 litres.

Shake regularly, keep lid open to air to speed up aging (stuff opening with kitchen paper if you want).
Try and let mature for a few months.
A good measure with ice (and milk for the ladies) is as good as the bought stuff, if not better...... ;)
