Thanks for the link to that recipe page SBB, after eyeing them off for a while I finally got around to getting a couple of macerations going:
Vanilla schnapps - three vanilla beans, seeds scraped out then pods cut into 5mm lengths, added the whole lot to 750ml of 40%. This has been macerating for three weeks now, the smell from the jar is just heaven :D
Mango schnapps - two mangoes chopped up, all the flesh removed and added to 750ml of 40% (I discarded the peel and seed because I didn't know what sort of flavours they'd give off soaking in alcohol)
