Here mate, the thread's here:
http://www.aussiedistiller.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=25&t=1891

I tried this one from bt1 and it came out pretty great, it was a bit strong on the citrus for the first week, but after a month it had mellowed really nicely.

forgot to post this...

40-60g dried juniper berries depending on pref for lighter to heavier styles
4 almonds
3-5 strips of orange peel
3-5 strips of lemon peel
2 strips lime peel
3/4 teaspoon full of angelica root
3/4 teaspoon full of Orris root
1/2 star anise
1/2 teaspoon full of ground coriander
Cassia bark 1/2 a scroll or 1 teaspoon cinamon powder
3/4 teaspoon full of ground ginger
3 black pepper corns
1/4 teaspoon dill tips
3 whole cloves
6 grains of paradise

Options
1/2 green cardamon pod
1/4 teaspoon Lavender flowers
Rose petals
Banksia flowers

grind it up add to gin bag place or as close as you can get to neck of keg allowing vapour flow, run the TPW through, not forgetting you'll see a slight increase in abv due to gin bag effect, normal cuts. Let it air, use caution on watering it down as too low it loses its sole.

In high summer err SA right now...

Drinking a young 1 week old fresh citrusy gin is a bloody god send! add a dash of bitters and tonic water or half soda in pint glass shorts on thongs off...heaven!

Young gins show all the botanicals distinctly and it's a bloody pleasure to sip and pick em out...As blond said a month down the track it's just a gin....

Yep Bt, I had mixed reviews early on, I liked the extra citrus, but my Gin drinking family liked it much better after it had mellowed.

same Blond,

when it's really bloody hot and still either way it's a nice drop.

Try watering it down with spring water a tad then 2lt crushed ice back into freezer for a couple...makes a bloody nice slushy too. Got a mate who loves these on a Saturday arvo with a squeeze of lime I think he adds.

Nice thing about gins...there a million ways to make it, drink it... and everyone tastes different.

Got some Tanqueray clones on the go for last 3 weeks not sure got this one nailed yet... big heavy bruzers designed to open the eyes and dilate the pupils....

I'm just about to start making gin. I got the botanicals and the wash ready and even made up a botanical holder, just in time for the weather to heat up enough to prevent me using the still for at least a week, maybe more :-x

I've never heard of anyone not happy with a weetbix wash for neutrals.. simple. clean, fast, cheap and low effort...

I'm surprised it not a staple we pin to tried and tested to be honest...it's a Aussie icon after all...Yeh and yeh again!

I can almost smell it...
