I was at TWOC on the weekend, and I was advised they had sold out of the Morgans Caramalt. The guy there with a white beard (sorry I cant remember his name) gave me a Briess CBW brand one. I cant remember which one I will check it tonight and post a picture. He said it was very similar to the Morgans one. Hope this helps

Mac, just a silly question for some but not for me. How did you treat the grain for this, soak? cook? Just chucked it all in? Thank you

I put down two of these washes last night, and used peated malt instead.
It smells awesome. I checked on my babies this morning and had no idea how vigorous the ferment would be.
It has blown clear my air locks :o
Never had this before
Can't wait to sample this one
Cheers markus

Just picked up the ingredients for a 45litre one of these. Got lager LME. Tried the amber out of the drum and though it was a bit much. And two kilos of pilsener malt.
We'll see how this goes, and for twenty bucks plus sugar it's not a bad price. If only this fkn TPW would finish.

It's more than enough mate :handgestures-thumbupleft:
If you can oxygenate your wash before you pitch it, the yeast will multiply and build up strength while they consume all the oxygen, and then go to town and smash your wash for you. ;-)

Would using a medium peated (smoked) malt, bring it around to the scotch side a little more,

Reckon it would chief. I'm about to try the same with a hint of rye added also.
Should come out pretty nice after a bit of oak-time.
