I was wondering - is this a recipe that you can add more sugar and yeast to for a subsequent fermentation cycle similar to the BWKO?

I did the stripping run last night and have added some of the grain from the bottom to the boiler for additional flavour. Was wondering if it was worth kicking it off again. The grain has a beautiful sweet smell to it.

It was created as a single gen spirit but there is nothing stopping you trying multiple gens.

With the little amount of grain in the recipe you would want to add another tin of malt to get the flavour. Sugar on its own wont add much flavour, only alcohol.

Cheers BR. Is there anything I can grab Malt wise from a Supermarket? Last time I got the Malt added to the grain as the shop I went to didn’t have the Malt tins. Seems hard to get for some reason. In the middle of a spirit run so won’t get to Local HBS shoo before they close.

This smells fantastic in the cuts jars. So much better than tpw and wbab washes so far. That was meant to be *shop not shoo :-D

Thanks hgwells! Need to get a bit more organised!

I am curious if anyone has anyone used the Samuel’s Malt Extract that Woolworths sell?

Lol Samuel’s… not sure where that came from…. Thanks BigRig! Ok will see if the local has it after this run. Need to get some sugar too.
Has made a huge improvement adding some of the grain from the wash to the runs. Might try it with the WBAB wash too.

A dumb questions, do you use the Saunders malt extract for amylase or just for flavour or both?

Thinking about putting down a MacWhisky as my first non-neutral run through the 2" pot. Will it be ok to put the
grains in a bag, or two, in the fermenter, for ease of cleaning up later?

Thanks guys.
