I have a pressure release valve for 1/2" bsp looking for a vacuum break that works at very small amounts of vacuum zero vacuum would be ideal. Anyone know of one in stainless? Thnx in advance. Edit: Sorry explained that wrong I want no vacuum in the system

Bluc making a pressure relief valve is dead easy :handgestures-thumbupleft: if one has a lathe no question but one can be made just using fittings :handgestures-thumbupleft: All we need is a ball bearing and a spring which will set the pressure. Only a light pressure will be needed and if there is flow then the flow can close the ball. Now trying to get your head around this may be fun but honestly it does work.

Now if there is no flow the spring can be set to relieve any vacuum by changing the ball/spring so when a vacuum does start the ball is forced open relieving the pressure.

Cheers Bryan

Alibaba special. Was approx $400 aud landed.
A little play this morning
Start 4.59kg
27% husk recovered
2.83kg flour.
1.26kg husk
4kg recovered 4.59kg
.59 kg loss or 13%
I did a very fast pass first try Quick pass results
https://youtube.com/shorts/IwO6wK6yQb4? ... tONNPq0Zso

Then slowed when I found no fine powder or very little in my bucket then everything worked.
https://youtube.com/shorts/0TSBudYQZ-A? ... qsuySXeMPy

My hands in the waste the fine powder goes into all grain the waste will go in sugar head.

Early days but promising. Only had couple kilo malt on hand was advertised as capable of whole maize I dont doubt it we will see. :handgestures-thumbupleft:

I think the high % loss is due too the 1200mm long flour sock its made ffom fairly course cotton would hold onto a bit flour unyil seasoned. I opted for slow freight at $40 vs $120 pretty much month to day.

Like any still mate just an indicator. I wanna know proof of heads, proof of lw coming off stripper (in vapour form, eparrot gor this)and proof of the hearts. tells me if drawing off the lm's too fast, falling abv..

Heads abv not that important but handy too know. By reading the Lw proof this tells me if i mash feed rate correct going through stripper. Proof of hearts indicates if abv stays constant, not drawing off to fast.
