This design is extremely interesting to me for rum distillation.
Its basically like a vertically stacked Jamaican rum 3 still system.

That high temperature in the bottom chamber is amazing at extracting oils that take us ages to get into high enough concentration with the MacRum generation method.
The steam injection gets the temperature so high that the oils that normally have a 100 degrees centigrade or higher boiling point actually vapourise and join the vapour of the hearts!

Its an amazing design and I can't believe nobody's done it for rum yet!

Bloody hell! What an exciting video!!
It would be amazing with any flavorful brown spirit.
How do we fashion one of these?

Interesting.. he mentions it goes through a thumper
What would he fill thumper with?
Be Interesting to hear more about their feint management

It's a 6 vessel system really :o
Steam generator
Chamber 1
Chamber 2
Chamber 3
Preheater
Thumper

On a hobby scale steam generator and preheater aren't so important

A 3 thumper system could replicate the flavour theoretically
Mash starts thumper 2, backset/dunder from thumper 2 used in thumper 1, thumper 1 backset used in boiler, thumper 3 has feints to double
Does seem inefficient though

With an existing 1x thumper set up you could get it started with water in boiler, mash in thumper and then for progressive runs use backset in the boiler
When enough low wines to fill thumper do a spirit run with backset in the boiler :shifty: seems like a lot of work
