howdy all,
ive been thinking (bad idea I know) about welding two kegs together. if I cut the bottom of one and the top of the other and join the two it would be maybe 80l or so. do you think I would just destroy two kegs. has anyone done this ? I want a bigger boiler and am looking for low cost options. the other thing ive seen is stainless steel 44 gallon drums but there not cheap tho.
any ideas
thanx

Someone on here recently did exactly that to make a large fermenter, I don't see why you couldn't do it to make a boiler.

You can go that way if you want, but first ask yourself do have the skills to sucessfully join the kegs together without it leaking, then the next thing on my mind will the keg finnish up looking great ? but hey if you have the skills anything is possible...just keep your safety first priority. Good luck and post up photos of your build. :handgestures-thumbupleft:

In the near future I will be modifying my 18gal keg just making it big enough to run 22 gals of wash so it only takes two runs for a 44..200lt

Yes silver solder just pulled it together with a couple of those ratchet straps

Hey, how is the pot going for you? Im Just in the process of getting one welded together too, just wondering a few things...

How much does it hold?

What do you use to heat it?

Cheers
