Just had a random thought while surfing gumtree and saw a cheap bar fridge. If you run a coil inside a bar fridge to cool the water for your condensor, would it work?

Yes.... If you filled the fridge with ice :handgestures-thumbupleft:

or a deep freezer (chest freezer)

The thing is... you need that direct thermal transfer, like the condenser sitting in water or ice.
Just using a fridge or freezer is too passive and therefor inefficient. ;-)

A large domestic fridge can move around 200W of heat, a bar fridge far less. It just doesn't remove heat as quick as a boiler puts it in.

Plumb a copper coil into the freezer, into a stainless tub or bucket filled with Saltwater in a freezer and Out of the freezer, wait till the water is frozen & then start your run. Salt water is colder frozen than fresh water.
