Stuck sight glass remover

Every now and then, particularity when shes hot I've had trouble removing my sight glasses; column and fill port alike :?
But I happened across this little suction cups for $3.60 delivered. :handgestures-thumbupleft:

Total bargain and seems to work every time :happy-partydance:
Can't recommend them highly enough.

One of the things I like about EPDM, it seals, but yeh it can be sticky.

A very light smear of olive oil on them will help a lot :handgestures-thumbupleft: not that I bother anymore.... but for removing a hot SG I'm going to grab one of those little gadgets :mrgreen:

I'm really pleased to be able in some small way to add to the great pool of information everyone has built here :-D
Just wanted to add a quick caution that although these things can hold 15kg at first, they start relaxing there grip after a short while. Great to remove your glass, just don't go swinging it around your shed. x_x
