Hey all,

In the middle of the below picture is a "big ass" wort chiller made by SF Fabrication. I am trying to find out the correct name (not sure mine is right). This unit is in a wine facility so was involved in wine production some how.

Any help greatly appreciated!

It looks like a heat exchanger. That's the term used in oil refineries. Cheers.

We used to have a smaller version for cold conditioning white wine ( to settle the tartrates ) it was a counterflow glycol chiller... a basic heat exchanger or worm.

Thanks Doc (and everyone that replied)! There are 2 of these for sale and I wonder would they be overkill/not suitable for cooling mash?
