Hello from Perth

Gday all, Been using the airstill for a few years just doing basic sugar washes. I have decided to do baby steps forward to a pot still (tight budget) so I went with the vevor 5gal with thumper. I've been reading for days the wealth of knowledge you are all sharing and this has helped make the decision to continue on with the hobby. I'm still a few days away being able to do the first run of a potato vodka so I've got time to read more.
Thanks for all the help past and future
Cheers
B

Welcome to the forum mate :handgestures-thumbupleft:

Well it does seem to look like you have entered that rabbit hole and want to go further down :laughing-rolling:

There is plenty of info here so get reading mate and eh when you do want to upgrade forget that T-500 and think modular :handgestures-thumbupleft: then over time and budget one can build up for the best of both worlds.

Cheers Bryan

Thanks Mate, Don't worry by the time I'll be ready to upgrade I'll have done heaps of further research and asked the questions for which way will be better and custom build by that time will probably be the answer.

Welcome mate.

+1 on what Bryan said for the T500.It's an OK still but when you're ready to take it up a notch from your current still, there are far better options available to you. Learn as much as you can with your current gear and by the time you've outgrown it you'll have a better idea of what you really need. You can always ask here for recommendations that will suit your circumstances and requirements too. Also worth mentioning that Andrew at 5 Star is a good egg and will give you the right advice if you want to call him.

Cheers,
Prof. Green.
