Hi my name is Gary i have a air still and i brew homebrew beer as well. I have made two spirit drinks one a Bourbon and one a whiskey. I filtered it through a half meter long 2inch stainless steel column.

G'Day Gazza and welcome to the rabbit hole mate :handgestures-thumbupleft:

Now remember if one makes the product right there is no need to filter just take cuts and let them air for atleast 24 hours so the angels can have a drink, then decide which cuts you want to keep. The heads will smell like nail polish remover and they will give one bad hangover where the part we want is the hearts that have a neutral smell, now as the ABV goes down on the run the tails start and they can smell like wet cardboard or a mangy dog.

So mate get reading and keep reading and you will soon be going deeper down the hole and making good product and remember the secret to a top drop "Hurry up and Wait"

Cheers Bryan
