Hello to all.

Say Hi and introduce yourself

Hello to all.

Postby emptyglass » Mon Feb 13, 2012 6:52 pm

Well if I say g'day, I guess that about covers where I'm from. S.E. corner (Victoria).

I've been "store bought free" for over 4 years now and I don't plan on going back there.

My gear consists of a gas fired keg boiler with a 4" 5 plate (perforated) column, running a radiator style cooling system. The still is pretty typical of a plated column.
I have an old 2" pot head for the keg, but I don't see myself using it again and there is a 1.5" slant plate kicking around the shed somewhere.
But, like many others I learnt on a still spirits single marble jobbie, till mum wanted it back.

I run my own general engineering business, Metalcraft Engineering, and I make a few bits and pieces in the quiet times. Only just commercial, but commercial none the less. I will adjust my signiture to reflect this.

Anyway, I thought I'd drop in and meet some new people, and catch up with some others. Look forward to chatting.

Cheers,
WineGlass.

Thanks McStill.

Its not all that old, I'm still making adjustments here and there. I think I have the radiator bugs sorted, now time to hard plumb it.

But it works a treat, makes good gear.

Not sure exactly what you mean Big Don, but my ol' grandpappy's last bit of advice to me was "never waste an erection".

He also said pulling your cray pots at 4.00am made it semi legal.

Which one were you told about? Cray pots or erections?

Come to think of it, if its someone else's, pulling either is not good.

So you know where I have been hanging out, and you go give me an award like that.

Once the other guys find me, they're all going to hang shit on me.

For those interested, http://homedistiller.org/forum/viewtopi ... 17&t=24294

At least I know what Don meant about lil stiffy.
Thanks.
