Hi all .
After a year of casual reading of this forum and no experience in distilling or brewing , I have finally jumped in . I purchased a 4" FSD neutralizer and 50 l milkcan . Thanks Andrew for helping a newb out .
I want to start out trying to making a good quality neutral, vodka . And slowly expand as i gain more experience to bourbans and rums. Looking to do my first run within the month , excited to get hands on .
This forum had been great with the amount information available , thank you .

Welcome Tor,

I'm also from SE Qld and have a 4" Neutralizer... they are a great.

What packing are you using? I use the FSD copper mesh rolls... they are awesome... You can't go wrong with them..

Cheers,

Ginking

Prof green, I figured that's where I would have ended up. So went straight for what I wanted . Those milkcans look great , in fact the whole setup looks rather impressive.

Hi Tor, welcome aboard. You have made a great investment in the FSD rig. I have had the same rig with a carter head for a few years. Dozens of runs later it still looks brand new. Performs consistently and puts out some amazing product. Cheers.

Hi Tor,

Congratulations on your purchase.

Be interested to see how you go. My neutraliser is due to arrive this week, so maybe we can compare notes once we fire them up.

Cheers

Piet

Hi
Just an update after a cleaning run I found I needed more than 200 l of recirculated cooling water .(my ABV dropped to quick and seemed like i was running in pot still mode) . Upgraded to 1000l Ibc tank and first tpw product run turned out great . Very happy with the end product.
Looking forward to getting a run day routine sorted and improving my technique and trying some different recipes .
