Hello to all.

Like everybody at some point I am just starting out but am pleased to say that I have done two neutral spirit batches. The first with the Home Brew shop ingredients, the second using the TPW recipe from this forum. Both, in my opinion, have gone very well. Thanks to good information from here.

My question now is, can I simply increase the TPW ingredients to get a bigger yield. I would like to use a recipe starting with 8kg sugar and the supporting ingredients.

My fermenter is typical 30ltr, boiler is 35 ltr and the main bit is a LM reflux style.

Looking forward to any advice.
Cheers.

I do 40kg sugar 200l water 3x500g jars paste :handgestures-thumbupleft: welcome to the forum.

This is considered by most max sugar to water ratio. 5l per 1kg sugar

Welcome to AD.

The recipe can be scaled up for larger batches but as already suggested, stick to 1kg of sugar per 5 litres to avoid stressing the yeast and causing off flavours. Quality over quantity!

Cheers,
Prof. Green.
