Thanks bluc.

Tbh I'm giving it a go to chase the big 4 - single malt, wheat vodka, gin, and rum. I'm doing it all-grain and so far it's been a great learning experience working on getting good results for whisky and vodka. I did one run for gin and was happy with how it came out (and my first wheat vodka came out, to my taste-buds, better than Grey Goose which surprised me 'cause they've been doing it for years!) Currently I'm about to do another gin and I'm going to keep it simple with juniper and maybe some lime and orange peel.

I put another single malt to bed over the weekend so I'll see how that goes.

But also, I'm a massive fan of Belgian beer which I think was the main motivation for me getting the all-grain part of the set-up I have so I'll be chasing to perfect those like Chimay Blue as well. I have a couple of chest fridge/freezer units I use for fermentation chambers so that the yeast can be given ramp ups/downs as needed.

And while all that's happening, I'm reading, reading, reading, tasting, tasting, tasting (thanks for the library here btw) with a particular nod to time, temperature, and tolerance :)
