newbie saying hi

Hello everyone,
New guy from the U.S. been running a stockpot still for a while now getting ready to build a borosylicate column. Lab glass setup, vacuum still.
I'm still doing alot of reading and research so I really enjoy the knowlege here

It sounds like your build will teach a fair few of us something :handgestures-thumbupleft: (I'm having to do Google searches just to understand WTF it is you are building :oops: ).

good morning from up here to everyone,
Frank, what I speak of is basicly a giant all glass chemistry set. I recieved in the mail last night a 4"/ 101 mm dia by 5'/ 1.5 m length glass column that i am going to build a plate tree for. What I mean by vacuum is that in chem lab we distill by applying vacuum to boil at much lower temps! I'll get some pics up soon and thanks for the welcome!

hello again, just thought I'd post a pic of my old still before showing the build of the new one. please pardon all the mess in the background, and guess ya see why I needed to upgrade! More much prettier to come soon
