Filling out your profile

Postby MacStill » Sat Jul 09, 2011 8:58 am

G'day All,

Please take the time to fill out your profiles, we dont want your exact locations but the state where you live would be great, and also the type of still/stills your using.

This little bit of info in your profile helps a lot when people are trying to answer any questions you have.

Thanks.

I'm also going to add its a good idea for as many of you as possible to check or update your profile often. It helps quite a lot to have your Location set for members to see, which helps when people are offering advice such as products or services. Its also good to see even a brief description of your equipment so others can see what your talking about.

Regards

Just thought I'd bump this one for the newbies on here.

You'd be surprised at how easy it makes answering questions and giving advise when the gurus here have an idea of what area your in :handgestures-thumbupleft:

Do us and yourselves a favour - post your state

Postby BackyardBrewer » Tue Mar 26, 2013 6:10 pm

We don't need your full name or want your home address but knowing what state you're in often makes advice much easier.

If you're comfortable telling us roughly what part of the planet you're from in your profile it will help us help you.

:text-yeahthat: yeah got to admit it is with a sigh and a roll of the eyes that I reply to members who can't be fagged mentioning what state they're in. You just know some time down the track they are going to ask something idiotic like where can I get cubes from :handgestures-thumbdown:

It's just that we've had several members ask for nearby yeast or copper or plastic drums and they:
A: don't say where they are actually trying to find said materials
or
B: haven't filled in their profile saying what state they're in.

How can we direct you to the nearest material if we don't know where you is?
