Hello-new to site.

Say Hi and introduce yourself

Hello-new to site.

Hello fellow distillers.
Just a few words to introduce my self.
I live in the southern part of WA and have been distilling for about 5 years.
First with an "air still" then moved on to a 50ltr s/s keg with a column and worm (pot still).
Nearly all my washes are DWWG or Wineo's Sugar Wash although I am keen to try a simple rum wash.
Glad to be part of an "aussie" distillers site.
Thanks in advance. Whalebone.

Welcome Whalebone.

The best rum to get started with is "Hook Rum" in the proven recipes section, nice easy recipe that gives a good solid rum ;)

Your not from Quinns Rocks are you?

Thank you for the welcomes people. Hopefully on the week-end i'll take some photo's of my still
and other stuff and post them.

Mcstill- no I live some what further south than Quinns although it is a nice area of Perth.
Have checked out "hooks rum reciepe" and I think it will be next on my list.
Just raided my father-inlaws lemon tree and started on a "lemoncello" recepe tonight.

Once again thanks all. Whalebone

Thank's Mrs Mac.
Yes, mrs whalebone, while not into distilling, does like some of the end results eg lemoncelo and kalua.
Eldest daughter (18) also likes the Midori that I make.(using flavors from the Homebrew Shop unfortunatly)

Cheers whalebone
