Welcome aboard,

Can you give us a little run down of your stilling background and how you came to get the flute?

What still were you using before & to make what?

Have fun here & enjoy your stay :handgestures-thumbupleft:

Cheers.

Hi,

Ive never distilled before. I got the flute from a friend of a friend, I was told the original owner never had much luck. My mate told me he had alot of fires with it and it put him off it..

Cheers

Ah ok cool

I think I remember the still actually.

These bubblers when built with 1/2" down comers need to be run a bit slower than mine, the guy that built your still is a member here and I'm sure he'll be only too happy to advise you on how best to run it.

I had a fire with my original bubbler that was caused by flooding the top plate through too much heat, it blew juice straight out through the product condenser with a huge burst, but since upsizing to 3/4" I can run it as hard as I like.

Cheers.
