Hi All,

Just curious what everyone's thoughts/experience are with these kits?

http://www.harveynorman.com.au/brewart-beerdroid.html

are they worth the $799 ?

Cheers,

Matt.

Works well for cashed up inner city-ites who want to say "look, I'm a brewer, I made my own craft beer", IMHO
but for people like the majority of us here, who like to tinker and build things themselves, I don't think we're the target market

Hahahahahaha I have to agree Im looking at the Urn option atm lol.

Basic calculations not including Freight.

Kit is $799.
consumables for the brew $34 which makes 10 litres.

Case of Beer $50.

My moonshine $3 a bottle...

Lime, Soda water, ice and moonshine wins by a mile.

Fresh wort kits $50 FOR 20 L all you need is a temperature controlled brew fridge and some yeast can not see many of these being sold could be good for HBS to sell ingredients the kegging system looks interesting but not at the price .

Am I correct in assuming it's an extract kit? If so it's way more expensive than my 30L kit lol
