EDIT:

Just found this pic on my hard drive and thought it would go good in this thread, lucky I saved it :))

Hi, sorry to revive an old one, im.new and getting ideas.
with this configuration, I assume the tank is lower than the exit from RC and PC so will gravity feed back.
If the tank.was higher than the still water inputs (i live on the side of a hill) do you think gravity would supply enough pressure to feed the condensers at a high enough flow rate?
Obviously with spent water being pumped back
Cheers

Depends on height of hill, head pressure. Most town water is gravity fed, just a matter of do you have enough head pressure.

Well as you are on the side of the hill you will be in a shed right :scared-eek: so just put a water tank at ground level and use the tank as the coolant water. Then only a small pump is needed to return the water, now add 10-20 metres the power input needed to run the pump outways the whole thing.

I did this setup 15 years or more years ago and it still just works :handgestures-thumbupleft: 12 volt flojet pump 5,000 gal tank and 3/4" rural pipe put it in place and job done.

Cheers Bryan
