I also ducked into the fodder shop I've been driving past on the way to work, asked about molasses.

"Yeah, what do you want it for?"

"Making rum!"

"Thought you might say that. $35 for a 20L drum, should get you going!"

I'll shop around a bit, $2 a litre is a touch rich. He reckons there's a few guys who use his stuff though, so it should be a alright.

I got a wash on!

Still waiting on my new drain valve, and I need to sort the plumbing out. And wire the element up. Sunday!

BUBBLES!

:happy-partydance: :music-deathmetal: :happy-partydance:

Just a vinegar run this arvo. No leaks, except a little crack in the solder on the PC, and the drain valve still leaks.

I need to sort the cooling lines out properly, just couldn't wait today :O)

Day off today, into bunnings for some supplies to 'fix the plumbing on my rental' (thanks tax man) and I've got at least half the bits I need to sort the cooling out, and a few bits I probably don't need.

Bit hard to see but there's bubbles there! All 4 plates loaded up perfectly, parrot about to start dripping now.

Tell ya what though, she's a bit slower than running on gas with a high pressure reg!

90%ABV at the parrot, and a quick touch on the needle valve to get it back into full reflux.

I'm gunna have some fun with this thing. Thanks to everyone who has commented, questioned, given advice or just given me a kick to get it going. Cheers! :happy-partydance:
