You can get volcanic rock from Bunnings. http://www.bunnings.com.au/products_pro ... e=products

Give them a rinse and soak them in some vinegar water. Probably worth considering putting a sacrificial alcohol run through them too.

What is the go with the position of the sight glasses is it better to have it a bit below the bath level for a better view or just keep it centred on the module. My bath depth from the plate will be 20mm and I can get the bottom of the SG down about 15mm but will mean I have to take the SG clamp off to get the module clamp off. Some input please.

Yeah bubbles come pretty high up, they flood right over the glass if I throw 4800w at it but it doesn't leak.
(I do not recommend throwing that much heat though! Pukes & surges)

Got a bit done over the last couple of nights. Got 4 modules done just need a final sand up now. Just a RC and PC to go now I think the hardest part is done as far as the cutting out. Those tee branches were a bitch. I hard soldered the ss ferrules in and soft soldered the rest. I like the soft much easier and easier to clean up. Feels good to see something that resembles the final outcome for all the work that goes into it. Real keen to get it done now and running.

Hi all I got a little bit done today cut all the bits out and soldered up my RC it came out pretty good the worst part was that I soft soldered the easy flange rings on and they kept unsoldering on me. I got it in the end anyway just needs a good clean up. It has 7 x 1" tubes and is about 115mm long I used 3/4" for the in and outlet. I think it should work well. I might do some work on my boiler tomorrow.

Thanks very much for the feedback guys. What is the general idea on the routing of the coolant. I have read what I can but am still confused. I don't pay anything for water so I will be using mains supply. I have 2 x 1/2" gate valves. Should I run the 2 condensers totally separate or will there be benefit to running through the PC into the RC. Do I run in the bottom and out the top of not condensers. What do all you bubbler guys run.
