The build begins.

Six washing coppers arrived on Saturday morning. 5 copper and one stainless
A bulk deal from a mate on a farm.

I sorted out the best two for the top and bottom halves of a copper kettle and set to straightening them.

Lucking one was quite a heavy gauge and will make an excellent bottom.

They took a hour or so to get to a useable shape.

The next thing on the list was to cut and fit the waste drain. I marked out what I thought it was going to look like(wrong) lucky i waiting before cutting. :angry-banghead:

Next I flanged up the edges to give a good surface area for the solder to hold.

Because there is a flange it is easy to adjust the hole to fit the date pipe.

The pipe got some flanging too. The metal overlap the better.

I need to check that I was going to drain the right way! So a bit of adjustment and the fall should now be out not in!
