What downside are there to a flooded plate?

I was trying to push my tails out and flooded my top plate
Does it affect the abv or anything?

I stopped it back down to 3600w let it clear them upped to 6000w again and it was fine. Just interested to know if there would have been any side effects if I left it flooded?
