4" bubbler, the Dragon Slayer dash 1

Here's another little project I've been working on to get newbies into the satisfaction of bubblers for around the 1k mark, it's a fully modular original design that can and will do as good a job of providing quality product as any of the more expensive rigs out there on the market.

As said previously I'm developing an economical solution for people who want the best of the best without all the add on bling of the full on bubblers out there, I want an affordable still that performs better than a ferrari but drives like a Rolls :D

These rigs are single bubble cap plated columns for now, but if these rigs are popular I'll customise plate designs for anyones individual request without a price increase within reason.

All parts are locally sourced, all work is hand crafted and only brand new Australian made copper components used to manufacture these rigs.

Condensers are all shotgun style and proven effective, with basic plumbing supplied but you can customise your own plumbing to suit your needs & all stills will be provided with 1/2" BSP fittings with a 1/2" gate valve for cooling management.

The above pic does not show a parrot or dial thermometer that will be a standard feature of these rigs, and all stills will come with a basic set of instructions and assembly pictures as well as my mobile number for assistance to get you going.

This is a serious still at a bargain price, with customer support and after sales service second to none, but if you want one get in quick as I can only supply demand for one of these units each week.

Cheers.

They might be at the budget end of the scale for bubblers but there's definitely no sacrifice on quality, and they're built by someone who's been running em since they were first brought into the hobby scene unlike others who sell them without any first hand experience or customer support ;-)

Between the two of us we can supply the demand for quality bubble columns in Australia, and back it up with 1st hand experience and a quality that can and is trusted.

Cant wait until I can release my new range of stills, they're gunna kick arse but wont be in the budget model range :D

Very nice and great concept. Can't see how you make a quid at that price.

Support is and always will be the key.

The name's vaguely familiar it causes shivers through my spine god knows why ;-)

4 plates, 1 bubble cap per plate.

Each plate is held in position by a 4" tri clamp the same as my original modular design that's so widely copied ;-)

A retailer who says "my mobile phone number is in the kit" is pretty damned confident of their product!

Nice.

Yup that system will work well, I have been using it on my Flute Mk11 for the last 2 years.

2 years ago is about when I built a plate tree with single bubble caps too, so yeah I knew the system would work well :handgestures-thumbupleft:

Here's a couple of pics how the cooling management is set up, and also how the plate & seal fits together before clamping the next section on.

That's really nice McStill, both Form & Function. You can't get better than that. :handgestures-thumbupleft: There is nothing better than a bull shit free bit of kit in a world where everything is build and sold stacked with bull shit features you just don't need. :text-coolphotos:

Yeah it's a packed section 600mm long, also added an extra plate to the bubble section.

I'm just mucking around with various optional extras that could be sold with these rigs, while trying to keep prices down.

This rig will be available for purchase in the next couple of days, it will be offered as a 4 plater the same as the rum still but has these bits to go with it as extras if wanted.

Cheers.
