Copper. The fuse going is not a weak point. It is a safety point. If it’s blows there is a reason generally overload. It is protecting the rest of the circuitry.

Thermometer wise, could always tap a thread into a 1.5" triclamp blank as a solution.

Cheers mate I might just buy the fsd thermo kit that comes with the Ferrule.

Ok so I’ve changed the 50lt keg boiler to a 100 lt keg boiler. Just finished cutting the 2 kegs in half. A rough cut for a 4” Column ferrule.

Still have to drill all my 2” ferrule holes. Hopefully tomorrow.

I want to put a thermo in my boiler, is it better deep in the wash or high in the boiler. TIA

Does that mean your thermos fit the 1” tri clover ferrule?

The only one we have is this one but it requires welding in the 1” ferrule that you said you have .
https://www.5stardistilling.com/product ... hermo-kit/
I wouldn’t know where to start with a 2” copper tube.
We also have https://www.5stardistilling.com/product ... ermo-port/
But I don’t think that’s going to help you
Maybe the bigger brains that are builders can help
