One each end.
They don't touch in the middle.
I also put them a little below centre.

I'd upload a photo but for some reason it won't let me. :angry-banghead:

No
Even when running a 40% second distilling it wasn't a problem.
I do have to be aware of the amount that is put in though.

I guess if you can get your elements lower it would mean you can do smaller washes.
Not a bad idea. :-B

How hard would it be to make a cube out of stainless steel that holds 150L? From your threads it looks like your good with a welder. not sure how much a plate or sheet of SS costs myself but if i could weld i would look at making my own but thats only if it doesnt cost too much for the SS

Good Luck with the build ben and looking forward to it. :D

Good question mate, if it were me I would have the elements down as far as practical to the inner ring. It will reduce the amount of minimum volume greatly. :handgestures-thumbupleft:

Thats why im thinkin of a of box for the elements like Urrazebs

I was thinkin of buildin a boiler out of 2mm/2.5mm staino 500mm dia 600mm high with a 10%fall/cone on the bottom and bout 30% on top to a 6 inch ferrule but it would require 2 sheets of stainless plus a work shop to roll it for me i could probably get it done but funds are always short and i got the 80l keg for work done

why would you need to roll it? couldn't you really just build a box? vapour will always find its way up and out. ? kegs are a dime a dozen tho and :shifty: cheap :shifty:

A cylinder needs the top and bottom welded on a join up the side where as a cube has more sides to weld plus easier to clean no corners as such to clean

And a cube won't have the same structural stability at the top that a cylindrical vessel would have. ;-)
