Hi all anyone shed some light on the height of Mac's 100L milk can boiler please? thought I might build a boiler from an 18gal keg but can't help eyeballin the milk can & thinking by the time I get all the gear, freight, welding & running around probably better off with the flash Milk can done & dusted.I have emailed FSD but Im impatient & have to fuel the dream & I know they are flat chat.

I seem to recall Mac telling me that 100l milk can is 755mm and 50l version is 635mm. I reckon the 100l boiler is a touch too big for a hobby scale operation but that's just my personal opinion.

100L milk can is 745mm to top of the ferrule :handgestures-thumbupleft:

500mm not including element guards and drain valve.

Hey Bluc, did you ever get the 100ltr?
Was it worth it or not?
Did you eventually realise that a 50 was all you needed or do you still lust for one?

I’m trying to work out which.

The main advantage I can see for me is large volume stripping runs with a pot still.
I have a fair sized orchard and live in a fruit growing area.

100 L for stripping runs would be great and if it's a 4" pot still sitting on it it'd be incredibly fast, and shed height wouldn't be an issue with just a pot. But yeah, money can be a burden.

Prob best "I" can do is make a sideways 80l keg.. :handgestures-thumbupleft:

I’ll save some $$ and go with a 50ltr.

I love the 100L, especially for stripping from my 200L barrels.

But remember you don't have to fill it to 100L every time you use it....
