Hi Experts,

Acquired a keg this morning. It still has the valve attached, from what i can find I think this is referred to a "Type A" keg valve?? Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Won't get a chance to pull the valve off until i get home from the office, but wanting to pick up a tri clamp and ferrule on the way home. Can anyone tell me what size clamp and ferrule i need.

I see most keg systems use a 2" clamp, however the valve on this keg measures ~3 inch. Does that mean i need a 3" clamp/ferrule, or once i remove the valve will the keg opening be 2"

Thanks in advance for your advice.

Once you remove that top piece you're left with a 2" flange :handgestures-thumbupleft:

:text-+1: not sure if you need a ferule either as they are usually welded onto something... So if you have a still with a 2" bottom flange it'll clamp right on

Yeah as long as you make the still connection on your column a 2" ferrule the only thing you need to connect it to your boiler is a 2" triclamp and a seal.
