Does anyone know of a Sydney or NSW supplier?

Hey Bundaboy, have your tried this single malt one from the same supplier? https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/GRAINGE-Single-Malt-Whisky-450ml-Spirit-Essence-Quality-Bulk-Home-Brew-Flavoring/302313108447?_trkparms=aid%3D1110001%26algo%3DSPLICE.SIM%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20131231084308%26meid%3D7ed58b16848b434fbd03a86ac03f3ac9%26pid%3D100010%26rk%3D2%26rkt%3D12%26sd%3D302313108451%26itm%3D302313108447%26pmt%3D0%26noa%3D1%26pg%3D2047675&_trksid=p2047675.c100010.m2109

I'm just starting the craft so looking for a nice single malt or blend. Buying the individual bottles really does add to the overall cost of the bottle. Cheers

That's actually a different supplier to the one I normally use, but no I haven't tried it it, but I will. It's a bit pricier than the one I normally use (interestingly it seems to differ by the cost of standard postage) but looks interesting enough to give it ago.

Yes, it's a shame that Still Spirits etc don't offer bulk quantities as I quite like their Irish Whiskey (now called Shamrock) even though I am a single malt Scotch whisky man by nature.

An even bigger shame is that, AFAIK, there are no recipes for making our own essences, it must be possible.

PS Oh I see I posted a link to that supplier, I must have forgotten about it. Thanks for reminding me.

I didn't know we could get this in bulk, i really like the Still Spirits Classic range, we drink both the Tennessee Bourbon and the Single Whiskey, do you know who may supply bulk similar to these flavours?

I do have a small bottle of the Grange Single Malt (to try it out) but haven't tried it yet. Have been using their Hamish single malt for at least a couple of years now, which is great.
My preference these days when using an essence is for the Scottish Legend. With both these I only use half the recommended amount of essence but that's totally up to individual taste. One of my daughter's loves the Kentucky Bluegrass Bourbon which I use the full recommended amount in, as I don't drink it.

Cheers

Since you spelt whiskey with a 'e' I assume you mean American whiskey? (could also be Irish as well of course), but in any case all of the bulk suppliers have some form of those whiskeys, eg. https://www.ebay.com.au/sch/greatservic ... 7675.l2562

I can't comment on how those taste as I don't drink that style of whiskey, but I recommend you try a $30 bottle (250ml) and give it a go, it won't be undrinkable unless you are very very sensitive. A 250ml bottle gets me 18 700 ml bottles or so.
