I’ve ordered a few essences that I know I like, that way if they don’t sell ….. well you get the idea :laughing-rolling:
After this first order I will probably start adding the ready to use stuff

You got a nice selection there Stig. I love the inventive names there is no mistaking the flavour they are trying to mimick.
As you said it is a good way to help people experiment with instant flavoured favourites drinks while they wait for their own spin on styles to age.
I still remember when I first started I was letting my spirits sit on oak for 7 - 10 weeks initially lol
They were the days.

I don't know if its the Edwards Essences I tried or not but they all had a weird aftertaste. im not sure if it was just old bottles that were on the shelf for a long time some bottles did seem to look aged. and if so it has put me off their brand of essences. I have been tempted to buy some again to see if the store I had purchased them from just had some really old stock or not but also trying to get off using essences too.
all their liqueurs were quite good though.
Angelica and butter scotch schnapps are my favourites but cant knock the kahloola, irish cream or melon.
and also the plus with the edwards essences is the spirit essences do 5 bottles vs only 3 for still spirits ones. not sure what the still spirit ones do for the liqueurs so cant compare there.
one thing we have done too is modify the liqueur recipe to make 1.5L (2 bottles) rather than the roughly 1.3L they make.

I find the Edwards Essences seem to have a lot less "gums" or glycerine than the Still Spirits ones do.
I also like the claim that everything is "all natural" but I have yet to find a bourbon tree in the wild :laughing-rolling:

That’s because they are all captured and taken into captivity by the super large commercial distilleries mate. I friend of mine knows a guy whose next door neighbour used to live in America and his dog once got lost in a massive bourbon tree forest owned by wild turkey.

I think I found a place that sells some seeds. I will try and work out a group buy once I get more details.

But honestly why can't we learn how to make our own then all the tried and true recipes could be the new range :laughing-rolling: or are the seeds for the tried and true recipes just too hard to find :laughing-rolling:
