Angel Yeast

Postby Andrew » Sat Feb 01, 2020 8:02 am

Hi Guys,
I just wanted to let everybody know that I am in negotiations with the manufacturer of Angel Yeast.
The biggest hurdle and whats slowing things down at the moment is Chinese New Year.
Once that's over with we will move forward quickly.
With any luck we should be able to offer this no-mash-yeast for less than any of the ebay sellers etc.
Thanks go to Teddysad for looking into this and bringing it to everybodys attention: viewtopic.php?f=12&t=13005
Cheers

Can’t even Ingrish!

Yes it’s good news... I was trying to express my curiosity as to the flavour profile of this yeast.

But then, I think I need all the help I can get! :laughing-rolling:

Wasn’t all that keen to get into AG mashes due to the time and equipment required. If this yeast does a good job in relation to Starch conversion and flavour profile, it will put a big smile on a lot of dials.

Mr. Andrew,
Do you have an ETA for this product? I would like to have a crack at it myself - if I can get it here then I can also support your venture!

None at all, I started talking to the manufacturer just as they were going on holidays for CNY but they should be back around 8th or 12th of Feb.
Then we need to figure out if this is going to be an issue since it coming from China, think Corona virus crap.
so for now its all up in the air (pardon the pun)

The below is a message I got from one of our suppliers yesterday, looks like China is in lock down.

Hi Brother. I think you also heard the news that China is firmly attacked by the coronavirus desease these days. All companies and factories can't go back to normal work as schedule. I start to work at home from today. All factories in Wenzhou can't be re-opened earlier than Feb. 17th. according to the announcement from goverment.  I will keep you advised with the latest news here.
