I must say, cos I forgot to before, this was supplied by our illustrious leader Mr McStill.
He asked me to make it happen, so I did.

Here is another calculator I have to share. Its a Yeast Efficiency Calculator, and it gives you various information, including the expected cost per bottle. Its in Microsoft Excel format, however if you don't have Microsoft Excel, you can download a free Excel Viewer from Google. Some of you may find this useful, others may not.

AG Bourbon wash size converter

Postby Hava » Sat Jul 12, 2014 1:49 pm

Hi guys,

Little spread sheet to help with an AG Bourbon batch.

I have put this together so you can plug in the wash size that you are going for (i.e. after grains are removed), it will give you the amount of water you need, the grain bill, the Kg's of each grain and an approx ltrs of space required to mash in to achieve the end result.

How do you use it? Simply enter the wash size you want in the only green cell and presto!

Grain bills are based on mash bills from distilleries thread (http://aussiedistiller.com.au/viewforum.php?f=12)

For the how to mash instruction manual see Brendan's All Grain Bourbon thread http://aussiedistiller.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=5399

There are lots of assumptions made in putting this together and if anyone can give me the specifics I can update the sheet if required.

1 - Grain will absorb 20% of the water
2 - ABV of all washes in this are 8.5%
3 - Conversion by weight - Corn -70% Barley & Rye 50%
You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.
