Heating Element slow

Postby BigRig » Sat Feb 22, 2025 6:51 pm

Having issues with one of my elements heating up.

It is still drawing power and getting hot but looks like it has lost its grunt.

A couple times i even checked if it was plugged in to my power controller and possibly turned down, but it was the other element.

The other element gets hot real quick and starts bubbling within seconds.

I assume if it was dead it would just not work at all.

Running some stripping runs today was painful.

I will need to use still again tomorrow for spirit run

Any thoughts on what's going on or what "test" i can do?

Check your cord, plug and connections.
I had a guy complain his new element didn’t last a full run , turns out his connections were, shall we say, amateur.
Fixed the connections and was all good again.
He openly complained in Facebook but apologized privately .

Checked everything and it looks good. Plugged it in and it's working fine.

Called Electrician who said might just be the load on the house was effecting it. This morning come to find the toaster was faulty and kept tripping the power when we went to turn it on (was plugged in yesterday but not switched on as we weren't using it). It's now gone in the bin and everything is working fine.

Yeah was weird. The solar app showed it was pulling 6000w even when switched off.

Thank God for the safety switches.
