2 of the wires have come loose probably due to crappy soldering & I'm not sure where they go. If someone could point me in the right direction so I can re- solder them please.

Nothing should be soldered on 240v :angry-banghead:

I think your wrong about no soldering depends how is put together .

240v should always use crimps or screw terminals for connections . Low voltage side of an ssr can be soldered to a potentionmeter.but nothing on high voltage side should be :naughty:

Thanks Stig, I see the metal case is earthed on yours which is a good idea. Also 3 terminals on the back of your On/Off switch where as mine only has 2 terminals. I'm in the process of trying to get a refund off the Ebay seller, if I do I will be buying one of yours.

Thanks mate.

Eh Filthy,
When I get something off fleabay and it aint what I paid for or is defective I just got into my bank and get the payment reversed, I always say the reason and that the seller expects me to fork out a heap for return postage which I reckon is just a scam and everytime my bank returns my funds within 2 working days.

It's probably too late for that, I bought the controller back in November.
Ebay & Paypal aren't being any help either because it's more than 90 days.
I just discovered that the back of the switch has melted as well & is no longer working.
Anyway like I said, "you get what you pay for" & I've learnt my lesson which cost $27 :violence-smack:
